A look at the card with the flash to see all the gold in the background before I added gems and changed the sentiment strip.
A wonderful sentiment for back to school.
I made the background by adhering multiple pieces of patterned paper to a die cut rectangle. I then painted over with brown paint. I wiped off most so it, so it only left a stain. The I added Black Soot Distress Crayon to the outside edge. I splattered over gold Perfect Pearls and Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Stain.
I covered the Southern Ridge Trading Company chipboard butterfly with Finnabair Rust Effects. Lastly, I added the sentiment from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology.
